Classic Cincinnati Chili Dip

This Cincinnati chili dip is a simple, comforting appetizer made with cream cheese, Cincinnati-style chili, and melted cheddar. Easy to make and always the first thing to disappear.

Ingredients

  • 1 (8-ounce) block cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (15-ounce) can Cincinnati-style chili (Gold Star or Skyline)
  • 1 1/2-2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • tortilla chips or corn chip scoops, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Spread the cream cheese: Spread the softened cream cheese evenly into the bottom of a small baking dish or pie plate.
  3. Add the chili: Spoon the chili over the cream cheese, spreading it into an even layer.
  4. Top with cheese: Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
  5. Bake until bubbly: Bake uncovered for 15–20 minutes, until hot and bubbly and the cheese is fully melted.
  6. Let cool slightly: Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving with tortilla chips or scoops.

Notes

Chili choice: Use Skyline, Gold Star, or your favorite Cincinnati-style chili.
